What was title was given to a son/daughter of an Ard Ri?

I realize the title/position of Ard Ri was not inherited but surely his children were at least temporarily titled something to distinguish them. After all, to become Ard Ri you had to prove you were a descendant whether direct or indirectly of an Ard Ri.
