Life insurance....Please help!?

My father passed away in late march of 2011. His wife was over everything as far as insurance policies and the death certificate. My question is in early April she call and asked for my sister and I addresses bc she was taking care of some legal stuff for my father. Well the month is going into July 2011 and we still have not heard anything from her. My sister called and asked her if she heard anything and she told her"NO." I would like to know if there is something that I could do being his daughter about this whole insurance thing. I was giving her to the end of June and nothing. I just don't know how to approach the situation in the correct manner. I just feel like maybe that she is holding on to some information. I want to know why she needed my address bc she does not care for neither my sister or me. I do know that she was upset that he changed his policy in Nov. 2010 due to the fact that I had a son which was his first grandchild. It is just making me very very uneasy, while still grieving about the whole thing. I just want to know how the insurance company works as far as this matter is concerned and what needs to be done.She used to call everyday and see how we were doing and now she makes no effort to call or anything. The phone rings on both ends.
