Why would my mom kick me out of the house for my religious views?

I was talking to my mom about how we came up to be here as humans! I told her that there is fossil evidence that we come from apes! She said, no son, God made us from dust Adam and Eve; so I said "mom you can't argue when there is clear evidence" so now she got angry and told me she doesn't want a son that doesn't believe in God. I told her, of corase I do, I'm just saying we can believe in both; science and religion; not just one. SO NOW SHE KICKED ME OUT AT 16 YEARS OF AGE, is this wrong?
