I recently wrote a question like this but somebody said to give more details so i will, we used to text a lot but she never texted me first (I don't know if thats normal) recently she stopped texting me back 9/10 times i text her which is not often so i don't think i'm bothering her, but at school she laughs at the things i say when i'm not talking to her and talks to her friends about me.(She was talking about how I had long legs like a gazelle or something weird) but rarely ever talks to me like she used to. I hope that helps a little more. Also all her friends talk to me so it's not like I did something that would make all the girls mad.

well, you can start out with a slow jog in place til your heart beats just a little more than usual. then do 3 sets of 20 situps. 3 sets of 10 pushups. if you have a pool (heat it) and bring your little wieghts and left them above your head and back down and over ur head and back down, enough times to get your arms burning a little bit. or you can do 50 jumping jacks.

I know that warm blooded animals have self regulated temperature, higher stamina and require more food, whereas cold blooded animal's temperature is more reliant on their environment, theyre faster in short bursts and require less food. All of this, I know from science class. What I can't seem to find however is the workings of what makes them different. What I mean is, if a leopard and an crocodile each eat half of the same gazelle, the leopard processes it one way, the crocodile another. What causes this? What is inside the leopard, and by extension, a human that makes it able to generate heat and the crocodile cannot?

I'm Afircan American, too, and I understand all your points. Now that you mention it, more of North Africa is mentioned rather than the rest of Africa. Even if they do go over other parts of Africa, it's not that much. If we want to know and learn more, we would have to take a separate course that gets deep into the studies, most likely in college. Sadly, most people won't waste the time or money when they are focusing on their major, and most times people see history as boring. I think some of it is interesting. I wish to learn more about my culture and where I came from. Wish I could get one of those dna tests lol but usually only celebrities have the money for that. How long will it take to lose 10 lbs?

I'm 5'3 and 130lbs. How long will it take me to lose 10-15lbs if I eat 1200-1400 calories a day (healthy food, not crap) and exercise for an hour a day. For exercise I either ride my stationary exercise bike or do my gazelle trainer or a half hour of both to get to an hour of cardio. I'm not really that out of shape but I've always been on the chubby side and I'd like to be slimmer for my junior year of high school. I've made this kind of my summer project/goal. My boyfriend of 2yrs has been talking to his ex-wife of 8 yrs on the phone. Mostly texts and the one I've read was completely platonic. She has been diagnosed with cancer and going through a rough time obviously. The only problem I have with this is that he kept this from me and wasn't up front about it. They were going to make dinner plans according to these texts and I was completely unaware of this. When I confronted him about it he said he was trying to not get me upset because he thought I would have gotten pissed. I asked him why he was doing this because she treated him very badly and he said because he feels empathy for her. She has a son (not biologically his) and is going through hell and back. I asked him to be honest with me and let me know what is going on from now on with this situation and he agreed he would. What do you guys think? I feel terrible for her and what she's going through but is it ok for her to contact him for support even though he's in a relationship???

I think you should listen to what your body is telling you. If you feel tired, cut down on the exercise. I always heard it was best to give your body one 'rest day'.

Okay, this is a pretty long story so here goes. I live in Georgia, and i had a son. I clearly had post partum depression, so i was still shocked that i had a baby. When he was born, and me and the father and child were in a outpatient room together, i got really depressed and went in the bathroom and started crying. The doctor asked if i was depressed and i said yes, so they sent in someone to talk to, but i was so paranoid that i thought it was a case worker to take my child away, so then she really called the social worker in. They didnt really tell me anything (at least i dont remember) but I do remember signing my rights away. i dont know if it was temporary, or permenant. The paper went over to the dad and the dads grandma, and they never gave me a copy of the paper, so i dont know if i have custody of my son or not. Plus they said i wasnt allowed to be around my son alone. How do i find out if i have any custody over my son? We didnt go to court or anything. Sometimes social workers would come over where i was living at the time which was the fathers and his grandmas place.

Well to be honest you didn't have THAT much, all your exersise through the day would have heightened your metabolism so it probably won't have any effect anyway, for the rest of the day just... eat what you normally would or how much you feel like. I never heard of a Doc trying to kill you..500 calories!!! is she NUTS!!!...I know when you work out you gain muscle mass and that weighs more than fat..So the scale you have to ignore..The best diet you can do,is throw out all jusnk food and go shopping for loads of fresh,dark fruits and veggies..Get a good extra virgin olive oil to cook with and maybe check into the Mediterranean diet..This gives you loads of options and is very good for you and does'nt starve you..Exercise daily and maybe every change it up daily to work different muscle groups..Walk fast,,than slow and start fast again..This burns more calories..Do the Gazelle 2nd day,,do some Aerobics the 3rd day and so on..Mix it up so you don't get bored..Good Luck..

Battalion Recon Marine?

Hello! Basically I've been trying to figure out what would be a good weight for someone my height undergoing the Basic Recon Course. Right now I'm 5,7 and weight 160 pounds. I'm overly muscular to some extent. Back when I was lean and 140 pounds, I was running 18:25 minute 3 miles, but now I feel much more cumbersome, running at about 19:30 pace for 3 miles. Is this satisfactory? I mean a lot of the BRC is rucking, and being short it would most indeed help to have a huge muscle index, but at the cost of a little bit of my swim and run times. What do you guys think? Is a 6:30 mile pace for 3 miles really bad? I mean, most guys are necessary olympic athletes, but I imagine that they are probably gazelles. Is a 19:30 5k fine and all that matters is my mental toughness?

How can i convince my parents to let me stay home while they go on vacation?

I really really really dont want to go. We're supposed to go to new york next week. Ive been there before, and i hated it. And that was only a few days. This time its almost a full week (5 days) and i know im going to hate every second of it. I have a lot a mental issues, some involving paranoia and fears and anxiety. Theres a lot of problems on those levels that i have. For one, im terrified to fly in an airplane right now. I fear ill have a 3 or 4 hour panic attack as while we're in the air. Then once we are there, ill be afraid of the people. New york is dangerous, and that scares me a lot. And i wont have a safe place to be. At home, its my room in my bed. No one can hurt me there. Emotionally and physcologically. I dont want to be with my parents for 5 days straight either. I cant stand them for 5 hours. My mom can be very irratating and negative, while my step dad is an idiot. I want to stay home and have my sister stay with me (shes 19). And if theres a problem i can call my brother whos 22, cus my sister doesnt have a car. And he lives really close. Is there a techinque of convincing that works best that i could use? I really dont want to go. I have these problems because of mental disorders. I have bipolar disorder and possibly schizophrenia.

I've wanted to drop 15 lbs for a while and i can't seem to stay motivated enough. I'm 5'3 16 and 130 lbs and I'd like to be 110-115. I want to be thin for junior year so how many calories should I eat a day, and I can do cardio I have an exercise bike and a gazelle trainer how many minutes a day to see results. If you wanna make a good deck I would suggest to buy cards at ebay from top rates sellers. The cards are cheap; not all of them but you can get really good prices compared to your local card shop. Nurse thought I was farther than 7 weeks?

I recently went to the health department for some tests and I had told the nurse I was pregnant. She asked how far along I was and I said about 7 weeks, I haven't been to the doctor yet but I know this for a fact because it only happened once. My father passed away in late march of 2011. His wife was over everything as far as insurance policies and the death certificate. My question is in early April she call and asked for my sister and I addresses bc she was taking care of some legal stuff for my father. I'm 5'3 and 130lbs. How long will it take me to lose 10-15lbs if I eat 1200-1400 calories a day (healthy food, not crap) and exercise for an hour a day. I need help with a workout schedule please?

K have a few ides to help. I too had the gazelle but try to follow the workout dvd that comes with it, works really well so if you don't have it, I would try to buy it on ebay. Anyhow, start with short workouts, don't exhaust yourself as you will either overeat or you will hate working out. Walking and running works really well for losing weight so start off slow and work your way up. Get into cardio, do a workout dvd from the comfort of home and make sure it gets you moving. If you like to dance there are tons of great dvds for that. I would recommend trying to get a cheap gym membership and take classes or work with a trainer. Also don't forget the weights and resistance training. A lot of girls are afraid to build muscle but muscle burns fat so get toned up. I think working out all at once would be better than throughout the day as you won't have to worry about warming up and cooling down throughout the day which is very important. Also what you eat is very important. You can work out 24/7 but if you eat McDonalds all day you will not lose weight. Start eating more fruits and veggies and try to cut back on soda. Don't binge as this will kill all of your efforts. Good luck and stay safe :)

My parents told me that they hate me, but I miss them so much! How can I get them to accept me?

I'm a 17-year-old male, and I'm adopted. I've been living with my parents until 9 months ago, when I told them I was gay and they decided to give up on me completely - they gave up all the rights and my aunt adopted me. Now I live with her and her fiance, and I love them both very much, they have been great to me, but I miss mom and dad so much! I miss them and think of them every single day, and every single day I remember when my mom said: "I'd rather have a son who is a murderer that a fag", and it still makes me cry! I blame myself for this, I shouldn't have ever told them this when I knew they would react this way. But I never thought they would disown me completely! I never see them! They never call me, except once when it was my birthday, and I'm too embarrassed to call them because I know I'm unwanted there. I miss them so much, it's unbelievable! I just was my mommy and daddy, how ever pathetic that sounds! I have friends, and good ones, but they can't replace my parents however protective towards me they were. Please don't tell me that I should give up on my parents too, because I honestly need them and I can't spent the rest of my life knowing that they hate me! Please help me!!

Relinquish Guardianship?

My Fiancee took in a 12 year old 6 years ago. He is a son of an ex friend that could not properly take care of him. His biological Dad now lives literaly down the street from us. He's been married now for 4 years and has been alcohol free for 5 years. They spend alot of time together now he usually spends the entire weekend at his dad's house. In the past year we have been having ALOT of problems with him in our home. We go to therapy once a week and the therapist says he has Oppositional Defiant Disorder which is very difficult to break and deal with. His Dad would like to have custody back as he can raise him now and has been active in his life even when he handed over guardianship. I really think it is in the best interest of everyone at this point to relinquish guardianship back to his biological dad. We have gotten to a point now that not a day goes by that I am not called some sort of name by him "dumb *****, fat, stupid, etc." very frustrating at times. We also have a biological child that is 2 and an adopted 5 year old. We want to have another child but I am not willing to until the things with A (don't want to use his name) get figured out. It's really not healthy to our other children to have to go threw the daily craziness that he has been causing this past year.
