With the existence of stealth bombers and nuclear weapons, isn't the initial intention of gun ownershpip...?

To take over and control a country you must have boots on the ground. Guns kill. Ask the Polish,the Jews, the French. Ask those taken over by the old Soviet Union. The first thing the Russians did was confiscate the registered guns. I am old enough to remember the people of Budapest throwing rocks at the invading Russians tanks. The amount of guns owned in America is a large deterrent to an invading Army. You ever wonder why Obama wants to tax ammunition out of existence.
